When God speaks His word, He does so in order to impregnate, so that things can be brought to birth in a season called Now and forever. We have never bore a move of God before, we do not know what it is like to carry a move to its destination and because of this, we are like the barren woman who has never had this joy. Yet despite this, we have been given an order to burst into song and shout for joy. The joy is because during our 28 days, we have discovered that we are no longer barren, but instead we are carrying a move, we are carrying a life within us that we have never really understood.
Illustrate Melanie (a lady and midwife who attends the Dream Centre Church) was assisting a birth this week and asked the white lady giving birth what she was calling her new baby and she replied: “We are calling it Zion”. You don’t get English people ever calling their children Zion.
When a mother hears she is carrying a child, she begins making plans to get the child’s room ready. She does whatever is necessary, because life is going to come forth in a designated season. God is speaking to us telling us to:
1. Enlarge the place of our tent:
2. Stretch your tent curtains wide:
3. Do not hold back:
4. Lengthen your cords;
5. Strengthen your stakes:
The promise:
For you will spread out to the right and to the left: This is a season of acceleration and expansion.
Your descendants will dispossess nations and settle in their desolate cities: This is advancement and territorial rule.
Isaiah 54: 11-15 Do not fear disgrace; you will not be humiliated you will forget the shame of your youth and remember the reproach of your widowhood. Your maker is your husband The Lord Almighty is his name. The Holy One of Israel is Your redeemer. “O afflicted city, lashed by storms and not comforted, I will build you with stones of turquoise, your foundations with sapphires. I will make your battlements of rubies, your gates of sparkling jewels, and all your walls of precious stones. All your sons will be taught by the LORD, and great will be your children’s peace. In righteousness you will be established: Tyranny will be far from you; you will have nothing to fear. Terror will be far removed; it will not come near you. If anyone does attack you, it will not be my doing; whoever attacks you will surrender to you.
Isaiah 54:16-17 “See, it is I who created the blacksmith who fans the coals into flame and forges a weapon fit for its work. And it is I who have created the destroyer to work havoc; no weapon forged against you will prevail, and you will refute every tongue that accuses you. This is the heritage of the servants of the LORD, and this is their vindication from me,” declares the LORD.
Isaiah 40:2-12 Speak tenderly to Jerusalem, and proclaim to her that her hard service has been completed, that her sin has been paid for, that she has received from the LORD'S hand double for all her sins. A voice of one calling: “In the desert prepare the way for the LORD make straight in the wilderness a highway for our God. Every valley shall be raised up, every mountain and hill made low; the rough ground shall become level, the rugged places a plain. And the glory of the LORD will be revealed, and all mankind together will see it. For the mouth of the LORD has spoken. A voice says, “Cry out.” And I said, “What shall I cry? all men are like grass, and all their glory is like the flowers of the field. The grass withers and the flowers fall, because the breath of the LORD blows on them. Surely the people are grass. The grass withers and the flowers fall, but the word of our God stands forever. You who bring good tidings to Zion, go up on a high mountain.You who bring good tidings to Jerusalem, lift up your voice with a shout, lift it up, do not be afraid; say to the towns of Judah, “Here is your God!” See, the Sovereign LORD comes with power, and his arm rules for him. See, his reward is with him, and his recompense accompanies him. He tends his flock like a shepherd: gathers the lambs in his arms and carries them close to his heart; he gently leads those that have young. Who has measured the waters in the hollow of his hand, or with the breadth of his hand marked off the heavens?
V2 Speak tenderly to Jerusalem, that her sin has been paid for: The word speak tenderly is a word that God spoke in His prophetic word, a word that was spoken over Tameside in regards to speaking to the tree. To speak tenderly means to make the Christ accessible.
V3 A voice calling out in the desert make way for the Lord: This is why we must strengthen and stretch our tent.
V3 It is the voice of God in our mouth that shakes the desert and builds a highway for our God, this is why we must be found with the word on our lips. Psalm 29: 1-12.
V4 Everything around us is going to be a level playing field, for there will be no marginalisation, no groups or individuals being ostracised. God is gathering and collecting an entire community, as all these people will be included in the move of God.
V4 And this glory every man shall see it: This move of God shall be put on full display for all to see and witness. Media, internet, radio, all will hear of its power.
V6 A command to cry out: All men are like the grass and all men’s glory is like the flowers of the field, in that they appear and fade quickly because the breath of God breathes upon them. The breath of God is going to be breathed upon Tameside.
V9 You who bring good tidings to Jerusalem/Tameside: We, the Dream Centre, are carriers of a clear, good sound and a good, clear message. You must recognise what it is that God has put in your mouth, because the word we carry is good news, despite the reception we often encounter.
V9 Lift up your voice with a shout: It’s a certain posture and frequency that must be taken up so that the heavens recognise it. It is a collective shout that signals a time in the spirit for things to take place, this is why you speak out the Now word, the proceeding word flowing from God’s mouth. Matthew 4:4.
V9 Don’t be afraid: Why would God say do not be afraid of shouting? It looks ridiculous shouting to thin air, but God says there is such a thing as an inspired shout that penetrates the invisible realm hitting the supernatural. Hebrews tells us to prophesy to the things that are not seen so they will be seen.
V9 Say to the town here is your God: We are bringing the dimension of Zion to the people, we are literally bringing God to them.
V10 See the Sovereign lord comes with power and His arm rules for him, see His reward is with Him. Whenever we see the arm of the Lord being used, salvation and judgement is here. We are entering a time of salvation, as God’s prophetic time clock for Tameside is ticking before judgement falls upon her and the banqueting table offer closed.
V12 Who has measured the size of our harbour in His hands and who knows what our waters can become? (Poetic licence used here obviously.) The Dream Centre and all the families making up her name are found in the palms of God’s hands, so much so that God’s hands stretch the entire span of the earth, meaning He can increase our capacity with no problem to Him.
