September Sermon Notes

Once Deception enters in,  people are given over to their own Delusions and once these three stages have arisen, the only stage left is for Destruction.  You will find Paul, Peter and others constantly warning us to guard our lives from these 4D's.

Within my long service at the Dream Centre, I have sought to model, by the capturing of God’s grace, an expression of consistency to you the body of Christ. The books which have been written are a testimony to the prophetic revelation which has been running through my life and ministry and it is from that, which has been revealed to me, I have sought with God’s grace to model and example before you. It is because of this consistency that I have no fears in speaking to you, asking you the congregation to follow my example, for to do so will  help lift off us any ignorances that may be apparent.

Ephesians 4:11-14 It was he who gave some to be apostles, some to be prophets, some to be evangelists, and some to be pastors and teachers, to prepare God’s people for works of service, so that the body of Christ r  may be built up until we all reach unity in the faith and in the knowledge of the Son of God and become mature,  attaining to the whole measure of the fullness of Christ. Then we will no longer be infants, tossed back and forth by the waves, and blown here and there by every wind of teaching and by the cunning and craftiness of men in their deceitful scheming.

Now these ministry gifts are given to what purpose?

To prepare God's people for works of service

So that you will become mature, attaining the whole measure of the fullness of Christ

So that we may reach unity in faith and in our knowledge of Christ 

2Timothy 3:10 You, however, know all about my teaching,   my way of life, my purpose, faith, patience, love, endurance,  persecutions, sufferings—what kinds of things happened to me in Antioch, Iconium and Lystra, the persecutions I endured. Yet the Lord rescued me from all of them.  In fact, everyone who wants to live a godly life in Christ Jesus will be persecuted.

Illustrate: The power of role models in life.

The power of examples and role models. 

You must follow your pastor’s doctrine.

A doctrine is a belief system which is established upon core kingdom values, which become non-negotiable. This doctrine must lead and create life and godliness in us the believers.

2Timothy 3:1 But mark this: There will be terrible times in the last days.  People will be lovers of themselves, lovers of money, boastful, proud,  abusive, disobedient to their parents, ungrateful, unholy,   without love, unforgiving, slanderous, without self-control, brutal, not lovers of the good,   treacherous, rash, conceited, lovers of pleasure rather than lovers of God— having a form of godliness  but denying its power. Have nothing to do with them.

You must follow my conduct.

Behavioural system which deals with your life-style, for it is your life-style which reveals whether you adhere to your belief and doctrine. 

2Tmothy 3:14 But as for you, continue in what you have learned and have become convinced of, because you know those from whom you learned it. 

If I have never forced you, abused you, manipulated you, but have loved and cared for you, standing up for you, then you have no reason to fear my leadership and this is what God wants to give you, people who you can trust.

You must have the same purpose in mind.

Purpose means the reason why something exists or was created. The purpose of the Dream Centre is to reveal the dream of the king in its various components, bring the region of Tameside under the government of God -and why - because leadership is bringing God's government to the people.

You must know why you are here.  You must know what you are here to do.  You must know God's assignment upon your life.

Matthew 16:17 -19 Jesus replied, “Blessed are you, Simon son of Jonah, for this was not revealed to you by man, but by my Father in heaven.  And I tell you that you are Peter, and on this rock I will build my church, and the gates of Hades will not overcome it. I will give you the keys of the kingdom of heaven; whatever you bind on earth will be bound in heaven, and whatever you loose on earth will be loosed in heaven.”  

You must follow his patience.

Patience means not reacting to changeable environments, not reacting to things or people, as people will cause you to lose your focus.

We are not trying to build Rome overnight but we haven’t got all day. Some of you think we belong to all-day ministry.

You must learn to love what I love and dislike what I dislike in God.

I dislike frauds.

I dislike deception from preachers' money for gain preaching.

I dislike Karaoke worship with sing-a-long singers.

I dislike Soulish worship for that is what it is.

I dislike choirs as they tend to be soul-driven not spirit-led performers.

I dislike immature, mard, self-indulgent believers.

I love God's church.

I love His word.

I love His people.

I love to worship Him in spirit and in truth, where the atmosphere becomes ignitable with His presence.

I love to see accurate leaders walking in truth.

What you love you value, for if I didn’t love you then I wouldn’t like you.

Love was what guided Paul in all his actions, not duty, obligation or soulish pressure from pastors to attend another non-purposeful meeting, but genuine love.

Follow his perseverance.

I have persevered with many of you, believing that with time and the right environment you will change and situations will change. My greatest weakness is I believe and I am a persevering believer. 

The hours you spend with people counselling them, for them to leave.

The phone calls with people for them to go and do the opposite thing you suggested.

The moving out into new levels of God only for people to sit their stoney-faced.

The praying and pushing in the spirit for people, for them to tell you that you don’t love them.

You must follow my persecution.

Persecution is what others will do to you in order to stop you finishing your course.

Illustrate: What I love most about the leadership here at the Dream Centre is they genuinely love and protect me and the cause here. 

Where people go wrong is that they are unable to separate their emotions from their purpose and because of this they take sides. 

You must follow after my legacy that I carry for you

Philippians 3:17 Join with others in following my example, brothers, and take note of those who live according to the pattern we gave you.  

Philippians 1:21-26 For to me, to live is Christ and to die is gain.   If I am to go on living in the body, this will mean fruitful labour for me. Yet what shall I choose? I do not know!  I am torn between the two: I desire to depart and be with Christ, which is better by far;  but it is more necessary for you that I remain in the body.  Convinced of this, I know that I will remain, and I will continue with all of you for your progress and joy in the faith,   so that through my being with you again your joy in Christ Jesus will overflow on account of me.

A part of me is in you and a part of God is within us and we together are a part of each other making us connected in life and legacy.
