The Forensic Journey So Far P3
Download the notes on: The forensic journey part 3
1. When the proceeding word is spoken it comes in our hearts like a flood - 1st stage - as it is spoken it hits our spirits and begins to lift us inwardly.
2. God moves in - 2nd stage - As the word hits our heart the waters begin to fill the harbour, both around us and within us.
3. As the harbour receives the in flooding, people are lifted up - 3rd stage - People begin to retain His presence.
4. As people are being lifted up, destructive forces are moved out of our territory, which is the beginning of God’s people becoming God’s government and law enforcement upon the earth - 4th stage - This new territory is possible because of the maturity and character found in the people.
5. When government is felt upon the earth, the marketplace becomes flooded, invaded and impacted with what and who we carry - 5th stage. This is where Christ is multiplied in the city and the kingdom advancement brings about city transformation. Many churches have great social works, but they have no proceeding word to move the enemy out of their territory. If social works could bring about city transformation then the city should have fallen long ago.
We have had such an incredible journey so far, because the proceeding word has been flooding our hearts and souls now for 28 days. We have been discovering the power of what it is to live by this bread now for 28 days and look what it is doing to us as a house. This is why God has given us a clear command to enter into his banqueting table.
Illustrate: The pilot light was flickering, but this 28 days the pressure valve has opened, opening up to us a rich flow of living water into our midst.
Just as the clocks go forward, the world takes notice and brings itself into alignment with the change. As you see the natural change, so God has invaded time. Mark this moment, mark this day as a spiritual marker, a day where God declares an acceleration of action in the lives of His people, individuals and corporate life. Walls of resistance are broken, that which was hindered and was held back, its time has come to an end. I see cracks appearing and water seeping through the dams that have held back the river of life. Align yourself to the time for the season of acceleration. The season of acceleration is Now, the season begins in You Today.
God shared with us the secret power of Psalm 29:1-11, just how, when the voice of the Lord given from the heavens is spoken on the earth, it shakes the desert releasing springs of living water.
Luke 14:15-24 The power of entering into the banqueting table and how for us it is a command and a demand that we must live by, rather than keep expecting an invitation to be given.
We understood that if Elijah could speak to the heavens, commanding the heavens to close up and no water fall, then we, through the proceeding word, could reverse engineer this so that our dry harbour becomes flooded. 1 Kings 17:1 The voice of the Lord has to be in your mouth.
We discovered the power of the scroll being unfolded to us in our generation. We discovered that it is not enough to hear the scroll being read out to us, but we must lay a hold of it and eat it so we can taste and see that the Lord is good.
We discovered the power of Psalm 91, the place where we make God our refuge and shelter, the place of our dwelling.
Welcome to Zion
Hebrews 12:22 But you have come to Mount Zion, to the heavenly Jerusalem, the city of the living God. You have come to thousands upon thousands of angels in joyful assembly, to the church of the firstborn, whose names are written in heaven. You have come to God, the judge of all men, to the spirits of righteous men made perfect, to Jesus the mediator of a new covenant, and to the sprinkled blood that speaks a better word than the blood of Abel. See to it that you do not refuse him who speaks.
We have said that Mount Zion is not a geographical mountain, but it is a spiritual dimension and one that God has brought us to, a heavenly dimension or heavenly Jerusalem which is called the city of our God.
The nature of Zion
Zion is the place where God has chosen to dwell. Psalm 132:13-14 For the LORD has chosen Zion, he has desired it for his dwelling: “This is my resting place forever and ever; here I will sit enthroned, for I have desired it.”
Psalm 48:1-8 Great is the LORD, and most worthy of praise, in the city of our God, his holy mountain. It is beautiful in its loftiness, the joy of the whole earth. Like the utmost heights of Zaphon is mount Zion, the city of the Great King. God is in her citadels; he has shown himself to be her fortress. When the kings joined forces, when they advanced together, they saw her and were astounded; they fled in terror. Trembling seized them there, pain like that of a woman in labour. You destroyed them like ships of Tarshish shattered by an east wind. As we have heard, so have we seen in the city of the LORD Almighty, in the city of our God: God makes her secure forever.
In the city of our God, His Holy Mountain is situated V1: Holiness has to become a key dynamic of entering in.
It is beautiful in its loftiness: V2 Meaning it is majestic in its height, it is exalted or noble in its character, for in its true nature it is superior to anything ever created.
It’s the joy of the whole earth V2: Why is it the joy of the whole earth? Because when the earth enters into Zion, the earth is filled with the Glory of God, for God longs to share it with us.
Like the utmost heights of Zaphon is mount Zion V2: Zaphon was on the east side of Jordan, it was part of the territory that Moses gave to the tribe of Gad. Joshua 13:27. God is giving us a new territory in which to dwell, rule and reign from.
It’s a city with a great king V2: The reason why this is so is because God is in her citadel. A citadel is a stronghold, a strong fortified building, like the hull of a battleship, it is prepared for battle. It is a fortress and a strong tower.
God is here. Fortress V3: It’s a place with a strong powerful history, continuity, faithfulness, and amazing consistency and accuracy.
It is an impenetrable city: When kings of the earth and demonic spirits advance to attack those who have entered into Zion, they discover that she is so powerfully strong that her enemy is overcome in fear, fleeing in terror V7.
It’s a real place that can be experienced v8: As we have heard and so we have seen, God makes her secure.
Psalm 48:11-14 Mount Zion rejoices, the villages of Judah are glad because of your judgments. Walk about Zion, go around her, count her towers, consider well her ramparts, view her citadels, that you may tell of them to the next generation. For this God is our God forever and ever; he will be our guide even to the end.
Not everyone sees Zion, nor does everyone enter into it whilst on the earth, but we can see it because God Himself is bringing us to Zion.
Psalm 78:66-72 He beat back his enemies; he put them to everlasting shame. Then he rejected the tents of Joseph, he did not choose the tribe of Ephraim; but he chose the tribe of Judah, Mount Zion, which he loved. He built his sanctuary like the heights, like the earth that he established forever. He chose David his servant and took him from the sheep pens; from tending the sheep he brought him to be the shepherd of his people Jacob, of Israel his inheritance. And David shepherded them with integrity of heart; with skilful hands he led them.
God finds a group of people He can trust and He begins to dwell with them and from there He then enters them, surrounding them as His own. He sets up covenant with them and blesses them. From this dwelling place, both God and man dwell together. His presence is there, the angelic is there, the blood is there speaking for us. God Himself fills us with His presence. We feel His security, His wings overshadowing us, He becomes for us a strong tower, a refuge, a shelter through the storm.
Those who enter into Zion become an unshakable people: Psalm 125:1-2 Those who trust in the LORD are like Mount Zion, which cannot be shaken but endures forever. As the mountains surround Jerusalem, so the LORD surrounds his people both now and forevermore.
Those who enter into Zion receive a canopy of protection: Isaiah 4:5-6 Then the LORD will create over all of Mount Zion and over those who assemble there a cloud of smoke by day and a glow of flaming fire by night; over all the glory will be a canopy. It will be a shelter and shade from the heat of the day, and a refuge and hiding place from the storm and rain.
There is a season in God where He leads people back to God and into Zion Jeremiah 50:4-5 “In those days, at that time,” declares the LORD, “the people of Israel and the people of Judah together will go in tears to seek the LORD their God. They will ask the way to Zion and turn their faces toward it. They will come and bind themselves to the LORD in an everlasting covenant that will not be forgotten.
1. There is coming a time whereby people will have an inner awareness that they must return to God and as they do, they return in tears seeking the Lord.
2. They internally begin seeking out Zion, so much so that they ask for it by name.
3. Their internal hearts and minds are supernaturally turned towards it.
4. They will willingly bind themselves to God so as for Him to make a fresh covenant with Him.
Leadership is the problem and leadership is the answer, for everything rises and falls on leadership.
Leadership being the problem: Jeremiah 50:6 -7 “My people have been lost sheep; their shepherds have led them astray and caused them to roam on the mountains. They wandered over mountain and hill and forgot their own resting place. Whoever found them devoured them; their enemies said, ‘We are not guilty, for they sinned against the LORD, their true pasture, the LORD, the hope of their fathers.”
Leadership being the answer: Psalm 132:13 For the LORD has chosen Zion, he has desired it for his dwelling: “This is my resting place forever and ever; here I will sit enthroned, for I have desired it I will bless her with abundant provisions; her poor will I satisfy with food. I will clothe her priests with salvation, and her saints will ever sing for joy. “Here I will make a horn grow for David and set up a lamp for my anointed one. I will clothe his enemies with shame, but the crown on his head will be resplendent.”
Signs that God’s leadership have entered into Zion:
1. The house does not suffer lack, she is blessed with abundant provision.
2. He satisfies the people with heavenly organic nourishing food.
3. He clothes the priest, thus showing us that God is approving His man before the heavens and before the people in which he leads. He moves from earthly status to a heavenly stature.
4. The saints are individually and corporately filled and from this filling their worship portrays a rich powerful dimension of joy. No lemon faced Christians in Zion.
5. God gives His servant a powerful anointing, whereby it is a new anointing in which to guide, guard and govern the house.
6. He gives continual light, for He is the light that is shining in our midst.
7. He will reveal to our enemies the shame of their own hearts and efforts.
8. He will place a resplendent crown on our heads - resplendent meaning:
Beaming, brilliant, dazzling, effulgent, gleaming, glittering, glorious, luminous, lustrous, radiant, shining, splendid.
