What is purpose?

Purpose: the original reason as to why something is either done, exist, or is created

And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love him, who have been called according to his purpose. Romans 8:28

For the Scripture says to Pharaoh: “I raised you up for this very purpose, that I might display my power in you and that my name might be proclaimed in all the earth.” Romans 9:17

Now it is God who has made us for this very purpose and has given us the Spirit as a deposit, guaranteeing what is to come. 2 Corinthians 5:5

In him we were also chosen, having been predestined according to the plan of him who works out everything in conformity with the purpose of his will. Ephesians 1:11

…then make my joy complete by being like-minded, having the same love, being one in spirit and purpose. Philippians 2:2

There are many scriptures we could open up regarding the subject of purpose as the bible urges us not only to live a life of purpose but more so for us to understand the power and significance of it. The power that one individual life can have upon a family, town, city or community through the understanding and pursuit of purpose is incomprehensible. I guess man's greatest question  is a question that I believe God inserted into man at his creation which was and still is for him to ask, ‘Why am  I here and what am I here to do?'  For the person who can find the answer to this question without first finding Jesus Christ is the smartest man upon the earth. What tragedy it is for any individual  to climb the ladder of so called success only later on in life to find that their ladder is leaning against the wrong wall (ouch).
