Working out what God is working in
Isaiah 60:22 The least of you will become a thousand, the smallest a mighty nation. I am the LORD; in its time I will do this swiftly.

God is watching to see whether there is a group of people in whom His word will be fulfilled. It is this fulfilment that causes God to watch over His word, like a mother hen watches over her eggs. It must be clearly understood that God is not stood watching helplessly by, wondering whether His word will be fulfilled, but instead He diligently works to ensure it does come to fulfilment. His word initially is given as food, food that is intended to create movement and momentum within us so that the word is brought to the place of fulfilment. It is this movement that we must diligently, intelligently and wholeheartedly pursue after, so that His word can find fulfilment in our generation. When God initially provided manna in the desert for His people, the hunger was a physical and natural hunger, rather than a spiritual hunger. The wanderings and disobedience found in the Israelites caused them to develop a deferent dependence upon God, but we who pursue after Him with integrity of heart are not part of their disobedience, but we instead are becoming an obedient company of people. It’s only as we crave a new type of food, food that nourishes the spirit, soul and body, that we begin entering into new powerful dimensions of God.
1. This food will cause things to become clearer and clearer the more we pursue and partake of it, as it will give us greater understanding.
2. This food not only gives us a renewed life, but rejuvenates both the flesh and the blood of each believer receiving it. (It rejuvenates both the joints and marrow of our soul. Hebrews 4:12)
3. This food must be internally and externally worked in us so that God can work out what He is working in us. Only that which has been worked in and out will advance us toward a greater measure of k ingdom rule.
4. As we partake of this food we partake of His nature, for as we partake of His nature we begin to see the endless possibilities that await us in Christ. God through these 28 days will remove the veil off our eyes and our relationship with Him, as He will remove death, decay, defeat, deception, oppression and strongholds. We need this type of spiritual food so we can encounter Him fully without limit. It is only this word that will allow us to govern and prevail over all circumstances. We need this word living and active within us so we can become clear, clean and pure.
The mandate and objective of 28 days reiterated Receive –Retain-Mature-Multiply
As we have started our twenty-eight days journey, already we are beginning to sense a wave of expectancy. As many of you saw on Thursday evening, 31st March, the word prophesied by Dr Jonathan David regarding Japan. We did not show you this to glorify a prophet, or glorify a prophet’s ministry, but we showed you this to hasten God’s word to the place of fulfilment. When God’s word is spoken out, everything within it’s sound must come into alignment. During these twenty-eight days we are bringing our hearts, minds and souls before God, to allow Him to realign us internally. During this time, God through the power of His own word, will sow things deep into your inner spirit man, so that it will result in you feeling enlightened, enlarged and re-energised. This will result in the lusting and cravings of the flesh fading, as your heart is focusing on Him, the one who nourishes your soul. Please, once again remember, what is sown into you by God must be gratefully received, what is received must then be retained by you the one receiving it, for only that which is received and retained will develop maturity within us, it is that maturity which brings about multiplication. Below are some key factors for you to concentrate on, such as.....
• Increase your inner spiritual capacity so you can receive more of Him
We must increase our spiritual capacity to form a deeper hunger and thirsting for God, for it is only this kind of spiritual hungering and thirsting that will result in us being filled. Matthew 5:6. If there is no hunger from our inner spirit man, then there will be no supply from the spirit.
• Develop a strong inner man so that your spirit man remains free and buoyant at all times
We must remember that both our spirit and our mind must be in receiving mode if we are to remain fruitful. 1 Corinthians 14:14-15. We cannot allow our hearts to be sidetracked, offended, disheartened, overwhelmed or even threatened, for to allow this will pollute and affect our receptivity of the spirit. When our hearts become overwhelmed it affects our ability to receive and retain, causing the enemy of our souls to kill, steal and destroy what God is sowing into us. John 10:10.
• Remain on the same frequency or band-wave of heaven
If we are to develop progressively as a house and as a people, then staying tuned to the frequency of heaven is critical, irrespective of our circumstances, for to switch frequency could prove not only confusing but disastrous. If God is transmitting on FM and we allow our thoughts and emotions to cross waves because of circumstances, abandoning what has previously been spoken to us, we will pollute the message within us. We must stay focused to what we are hearing and receiving, knowing that this is what our heavenly Father is giving us in this season called Now. This is a major reason why so many believers remain under-developed, even though they have been saved many years. They listen to a variety of preachers, whether via Christian TV, or conferences, only then to quickly abandon their current course of assignment, all because someone played a more appealing tune.
• Desire more of the spirit of truth
The spirit of truth within us will help define and identify the spirit of error within us. When we partake of the spirit of truth, we are actually partaking of God’s divine nature which empowers us to escape the present corruption found in the world.
• Develop a spiritual understanding to that which you are receiving and retaining
Ask the Lord to clarify, explain and elaborate further that which you have received and are receiving, so that you can know God more fully, insightfully and more accurately, the mystery of His will. Ask God for insight and foresight, so that by this you may possess a more certain and better hope. Ask God to reveal to you the breadth, depth, width and height of His love.
• Remain honourable towards your spiritual inheritance
It is very easy to become ashamed of the one you love and follow, especially when persecution or embarrassment threatens you. It is these feelings that can easily cause you to abandon the very hand that has fed, matured and protected you. The pastor’s grace provides a covering of spiritual protection for those being built in the house under his care, for from this house a spiritual inheritance is given and received. You must remain humble and faithful at all times to what God has built into the house, for it is this house which is enriching your life, health and wealth. Spiritual sons and daughters show their honour by pursuing after the same concerns which are found in the heart of the pastor and spiritual father. 2 Timothy 1:12-14. There are those who easily turn away from this life and protection thinking themselves free from such obligations. 2 Timothy 1:15. We must understand that for anything good to be received there is always a price to pay, for it is this price that sees many squander their inheritance, taking it out of the house into the world. Luke 15:11-32.
• Keep using what you have received, retained and maintained so it can be further multiplied
You must learn to act immediately in order for that which has been received and retained to become multiplied in your hands, as this is a spiritual principle that must not be ignored. 2 Corinthians 9:6. Words have to be shared, along with actions completed, for servant-hood must become part of every believer’s sacrificial lifestyle, as there is no other way to serve God other than through living the sacrificial life. Remember, everything valuable must come at a price! The more we practice this code of conduct, the better we become as believers and become better, true, sons and daughters of righteousness. What God personally sows into us must not only be seen beyond ourselves, but must go beyond ourselves, for to think differently will dishonour the God who is able to do immeasurably more than we can think, ask or even imagine. The more we see God’s agenda, the more we are able to retain and multiply what we have received.
